Situated at the junction of the Rivers Lour and Spey, the distillery lies in a beautiful glen, surrounded by magnificent peaks of Ben Rinnes a short distance away. Pure spring water for making the whisky is drawn from the River Lour. ‘Aberlour’ is a Gaelic word meaning ‘mouth of the chattering burn [stream]’.
70cl / 43.00% – Matured in both traditional oak and sherry casks, this demonstrates the rich, intensity of Aberlour single malt. Peppery and fruity.
Drinking Instructions
Aberlour is best drank neat, or with a little mineral water at room temperature. Roll it around on your tongue will release the smoky sweet aroma, the taste is peppery with fruity finish. A great winter warmer.
